Refund policy

Fourteen days. Email and ask. You do not have to justify it.

How to ask

Email eric@cloudcontraptions.com from the address you bought with, or use the customer portal link in your purchase email. Include your order id if you have it handy; if you do not, the email address is enough to find it.

Refunds are processed by Polar, our merchant of record. The money goes back to the card you paid with, usually within five to ten business days depending on your bank.

What happens to your licence

Refunding revokes the licence key. That is what a refund is: you stop having bought the software. Please uninstall it.

Diagrams you already made are yours and stay yours — the licence agreement says so, and a refund does not change it.

After fourteen days

Ask anyway. If the software is broken in a way we cannot fix for you, we would rather refund you than have you stuck with it. The fourteen days is a promise, not a wall.

Two things worth checking before you buy

Most refund requests come from one of these, and both are avoidable:

1. You need your own Anthropic API key. The software does not work without one, and Anthropic bills you for the usage separately. If that is a dealbreaker, it is better to know now.
2. The page is a fixed size — 1008 × 612 points, US Legal landscape. That constraint is the point of the tool, but if you need an arbitrarily-sized canvas, this is the wrong tool and we would rather say so than sell it to you.

Chargebacks

If something has gone wrong, email first. A chargeback costs us a fee and gets you your money more slowly than just asking does. We have never refused a refund.

Your statutory rights

If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance purchase within fourteen days. By buying and downloading immediately you may be asked to waive that right for digital content — this policy gives you the same fourteen days regardless, so you are no worse off either way. Nothing here limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
