Licence agreement

This is the licence for the diagram-builder desktop app and MCP server. Buying grants you this licence.

Plain-language licence written by the vendor, not by a lawyer. Have it reviewed before you rely on it commercially.

What you get

A perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the software for any purpose, commercial or otherwise, including work you are paid for and material you sell.

Perpetual means what it says. The licence does not expire, and nothing in the software disables it on a date.

Seats

A seat is a person, not a device. One seat covers one named individual on as many machines as that person uses.

Personal — 1 seat.
Team — 5 seats. Seats may be reassigned when someone leaves; they may not be shared concurrently.

Do not share your licence key outside your seat count. If you need more seats, buy them.

Updates

Every version we publish within twelve months of your purchase date is included.

After twelve months:

the version you have keeps working, indefinitely;
newer versions are not included;
buying again is optional and is the only thing that extends the window.

We do not promise any particular update, or any particular number of them, in that window.

What you may not do

Redistribute, resell, sublicense or rent the software.
Share your licence key publicly or with people outside your seats.
Remove or alter licence or copyright notices.
Reverse engineer the software, except where the law expressly grants you that right regardless of contract — in the EU and UK it does, and this clause does not override it.

What you keep

Everything you make with it. Diagrams you produce are yours entirely. We claim no rights in your output, and we never see it — the software runs on your machine and sends diagrams to nobody.

Your Anthropic API key

The software requires an Anthropic API key that you supply and that Anthropic bills you for separately. It is used from your machine, directly, and is stored in your operating system's keychain. We are not party to your relationship with Anthropic, and their usage is governed by their terms.

The software does not function without it. If that is not what you expected, the refund policy applies.

Third-party components

The software includes open-source components under their own licences, including the IBM Plex Sans and JetBrains Mono typefaces under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Run diagram-builder licenses for the full text. Nothing here restricts your rights under those licences.

Termination

The licence ends if you materially breach it — in practice, if you redistribute the software or share keys beyond your seats. Refunding your purchase also revokes its key, because that is what a refund is.

No warranty

The software is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to it is limited to what you paid. Statutory rights that cannot be excluded are unaffected.
